On May 26, 2026, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, after considering the proposal of the Central Inspection Committee on disciplinary action against violating party members, the Secretariat found:
Nguyen Duc Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council; Diep Van Chien, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee have declined in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and laws of the State in performing assigned responsibilities and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity; violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility of setting an example, causing very serious consequences, public outrage, and very badly affecting the prestige of the Party organization and agencies and units.
Based on the content, nature, severity, consequences, and causes of violations; based on the Party's regulations on disciplinary action against violating party members, the Secretariat decided to impose the disciplinary action of Expulsion from the Party on Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh, Diep Van Chien.
It is proposed that functional agencies promptly and synchronously implement administrative discipline with Party discipline.
