At noon on December 3, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and the Central working delegation had a working session with Lam Dong province on overcoming the consequences of floods in the province.
According to the latest report, the recent flood in Lam Dong province has 5 deaths and 1 injury. Along with that, 23 houses collapsed, 206 houses were damaged, more than 4,200 hectares of crops were damaged and many major traffic routes were damaged and blocked due to landslides.

The total estimated damage to Lam Dong is more than 1,200 billion VND.
The province mobilized 4 forces on the spot, rescued, evacuated people and opened temporary roads. The Central Government supported 500 billion VND and 1,000 tons of rice, which were immediately distributed to the people.
Up to this point, the Prenn and Mimosa passes have been cleared, and the reinforcement is expected to be completed in December.
The province is focusing on implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign", speeding up the progress of repairing damaged houses and building new collapsed houses as soon as possible; at the same time, reviewing high-risk areas, supporting production recovery and stabilizing people's lives.

At the meeting, on behalf of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh acknowledged and commended the efforts and sense of responsibility of Lam Dong province.
In particular, the military, police and organizations in the province's political system have strictly followed the Prime Minister's instructions; proactively, promptly and actively responded to and prevented natural disasters.

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that Lam Dong province continue to review and absolutely ensure people's lives. At the same time, urgently overcome infrastructure, build houses and production to stabilize people's lives to enjoy spring, celebrate a warm and happy Tet.
"Lam Dong has 23 houses collapsed due to floods, this number is not much compared to other provinces. Therefore, the province needs to complete the construction of houses for people earlier than the time directed by the Prime Minister. Damaged houses must be repaired this December; new houses must be completed by January 15, 2026 at the latest" - Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh requested.

For the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, and Military Region 7, continue to support Lam Dong province in overcoming the consequences of floods.
Ministries and branches, especially the Ministry of Construction, continue to urgently repair landslides to ensure smooth traffic in normal conditions.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh emphasized that after this period, Lam Dong province needs to review the overall work of natural disaster prevention.
In particular, proactively marking flood markers, ensuring that works do not obstruct flood drainage; proactively response scenarios according to the motto "4 on-site" and "3 ready" to avoid being passive and surprised when the weather is still complicated.
