Death hole suddenly swallows up a car in the center of Da Nang

Da Nang - Nguyen Cong Tru Street suddenly subsided, creating a "death hole" about 2m deep, causing two cars to fall into the hole and another car to be stuck in the mouth of the hole.

On the afternoon of December 3, Da Nang authorities approached the scene of the subsidence of Nguyen Cong Tru Street, creating a death hole, swallowing a car.

Previously, at around 2:15 p.m. the same day, Nguyen Cong Tru Street (next to Ngo Quyen Street intersection) suddenly subsided, creating a deep hole.

Accordingly, the "death hole" is located right next to Nguyen Cong Tru street (from Ngo Quyen street to Tran Hung Dao). The width of the hole is nearly half of the road, about 2m deep.

At the scene, the hole was located next to the corrugated iron fence of a project under construction. Two cars parked near the roadside fell into the hole, while another car was lying on the edge of the hole.

According to the leader of the An Hai Ward People's Committee, the incident did not cause any human casualties, and the locality sent officers to the scene to check the incident.

Mr. Nguyen Ha Nam, Director of the Department of Construction of Da Nang City, said that the Department has grasped the information of the incident and is checking and handling the scene.
