On February 27, in Hanoi, the Ministry of National Defense and the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee held a press conference to introduce the Scientific Conference to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Central Highlands Victory (1975-2025). The workshop has the theme: "Victory of the Central Highlands 1975 and half a century of building and developing Dak Lak".
Speaking at the press conference, Major General Tong Van Thanh - Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department, General Department of Politics - said that the workshop aimed to affirm and deepen the stature and significance of the Central Highlands victory in the resistance war against the US to save the country, and draw valuable lessons that can be applied in the current cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
The workshop will highlight the achievements of the authorities and people of the Central Highlands provinces in general, and Dak Lak in particular, after 50 years of healing war wounds as well as promoting and arousing advantages, potential, will and aspiration to rise in the new era of the nation.
This is also an opportunity to honor and show gratitude to heroic martyrs who have contributed their merits and blood to the cause of national liberation. In particular, the workshop also aims to educate patriotism and national pride for the younger generation and people nationwide.
According to information from the organizing committee, there will be 86 presentations by leaders of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, Dak Lak province, military generals and historical witnesses.
In which, there are many important presentations by military generals such as: Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh - Deputy Minister of National Defense; Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Senior Lieutenant General Tran Viet Khoa - Director of the National Defense Academy; Lieutenant General Truong Thien To - Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics; Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang - Commander of Military Region 7; Lieutenant General, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Doan Sinh Huong - former commander of Military Region 4.
According to the organizing committee, there will be more than 400 delegates attending the workshop held on March 5 in Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province.
