According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom of Cambodia (November 9, 1953 - November 9, 2024), on November 8, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam sent a congratulatory message to the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party.
General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam sent a flower basket to congratulate King Norodom Sihamoni and President of the Cambodian People's Party Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
President Luong Cuong sent a congratulatory letter to King Norodom Sihamoni; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a congratulatory letter to Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man sent congratulatory letters to President of the Cambodian Senate Samdech Techo Hun Sen and President of the Cambodian National Assembly Samdech Khuon Sudary.
In congratulatory messages and letters, the Party Central Committee and senior leaders of Vietnam congratulated the great and important achievements in various fields that the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Cambodian people have achieved in recent times, especially under the wise reign of King Norodom Sihamoni.
The Party, State and National Assembly leaders congratulated Cambodia on successfully organizing elections, establishing a new Government, maintaining political stability and economic development, and continuously improving Cambodia's position in the international arena.
As two neighboring countries that have stood side by side through the ups and downs of history, Vietnam has been and will continue to make efforts together with Cambodia to continue to preserve and foster the good traditional friendship between the Party, State and people of Vietnam and the Cambodian People's Party, State and people of Cambodia; to bring the Vietnam - Cambodia relationship to increasingly develop in depth, practically and effectively, bringing benefits to the people of the two countries, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
