The total state budget revenue in the provincial area accumulated until the end of March, 2025 was estimated at 3,254 billion dong, equal to 33.1% of the central estimate assigned, equal to 21% of the provincial People's Committee's estimate assigned. Total accumulated local budget until the end of March 2025 was estimated at 7,098 billion dong, equal to 38.1% of the central estimate assigned, equal to 31.5% of the provincial estimate assigned.
Regarding the implementation of the organizational arrangement to summarize the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW according to the policy in Conclusion No. 121-KL/TW dated January 24, 2025 of the 13th Central Executive Committee, the Lao Cai provincial government has reduced 6 departments, 9 branches; 29 departments under departments and equivalents; 20 departments under branches; 17 district-level specialized agencies.
In addition, issue regulations on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of 11 departments and branches under the department; complete the organizational structure of the Provincial People's Committee Office, Economic Zone Management Board; complete the legal position of the Forest Protection Department under the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Trinh Xuan Truong emphasized that in the second quarter, all levels and sectors need to take drastic action, continue to remove difficulties and obstacles; focus on implementing 10 key tasks of the Provincial People's Committee; strive for the high growth target in the second quarter to compensate for the first quarter and strive for budget revenue in 2025 to reach VND 15,500 billion.
Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong also suggested that tax authorities coordinate well with agencies and units in the province to strengthen collection management, prevent revenue loss, tax evasion, handle tax arrears; calculate tax collection for sidewalk use; collect tax for home- catering establishments (homestays).
Agencies, units and localities strengthen the management of state budget expenditures, limit expenditures arising outside the assigned budget; effectively and economically manage and use public assets; review and plan the procurement of equipment for medical examination and treatment.
For key projects and projects, it is necessary to accelerate the implementation of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project and 500KV Lao Cai -Dinh Yen line but must ensure the provisions of the law, especially the control of statistics and compensation.
