According to records, although the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has ended, many people are still staying in the Hoan Kiem Lake area. Many families spread tarps and offer lunch around the lake area.
Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet (a tourist from Gia Lai) shared that she spent several days traveling far away to Hanoi just to witness the sacred and heroic moments of the Great Festival. When the crowd was away, she and her friend chose to stay at Hoan Kiem Lake, find a small corner to rest, eat and relax in the vibrant and peaceful atmosphere.
"I have never seen Hanoi so beautiful and close. No more the bustling scene of daily life, only the laughter and the warm feeling of thousands of hearts sharing a sense of pride," said Ms. Tuyet.
For Ms. Tuyet, this trip is an unforgettable memory, not only because of watching the parade, but also because of immersing herself in the atmosphere of solidarity and patriotism in the capital.
"Maybe I will remember today's image forever. It gives me more confidence, more love for my country", Ms. Tuyet confided.
9:30: Vehicles, military fireworks, special vehicles return to the gathering place
From the morning of September 2, My Dinh area had a period of heavy rain, but many people still patiently stood on both sides of Le Quang Dao Street to watch the vehicles, military artillery, and special vehicles completing the parade, returning to the gathering place at the F1 racetrack.
Mr. Le Van Binh (60 years old, Xuan Phuong ward, Hanoi) said: "It has been a few decades since there has been such an important occasion, and the rain and wind have not stopped the people's spirit. When I saw each block of vehicles, artillery and specialized vehicles, I saw the strength of the Army and Police forces. That is an image that is both majestic and familiar, making everyone proud, said Mr. Binh.
According to Mr. Binh, waiting until the last minute to witness the convoys returning is not only a matter of curiosity but also a way for people to express their affection for the armed forces: "Our people send off the convoys with fists of fireworks, with a presence full of confidence. That was an unforgettable moment, to tell my children and grandchildren about a special National Day.
