Local congestion at the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway intersection with National Highway 1A

Hanoi - On the afternoon of September 2, at the exit of Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway (in Hanoi City) intersecting with National Highway 1A, there was a local traffic congestion.

According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, at around 4:00 p.m. the same day, a stream of vehicles from Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway poured into the National Highway 1A intersection with high density. In particular, the increase in passenger cars and personal cars has caused congestion. The vehicles lined up to move slowly, sometimes almost standing still. Many drivers were impatient, trying to squeeze through the lanes, making traffic even more stressful.

The main cause of this situation is determined to be the large number of vehicles from the southern provinces flocking to Hanoi after the National Day holiday. The Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway exit is an important gateway, directly connecting to National Highway 1A. Meanwhile, the road surface at the intersection is not too wide, plus vehicles have to wait for traffic lights, leading to local congestion.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen (a passenger traveling on a bus) shared: "Every holiday when I return to Hanoi, I am haunted by the traffic jam at the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway intersection with National Highway 1A. Hopefully, in the coming time, the State will have a solution to expand this intersection, making the journey more convenient."
