Politburo Member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu emphasized this requirement at the Conference to summarize the work in 2025 and deploy tasks for 2026 of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee, on December 26.
Speaking to direct at the Conference, orienting a number of key tasks in the coming time, Politburo Member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu requested to clearly define the role, tasks and importance of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee in the new development phase of the country.
Maintain the principles and leadership role of the Party; steadfastly and creatively apply Marxism - Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's ideology; maintain and promote solidarity and unity within the Party Committee.
Strongly innovate thinking and actions, improve strategic advisory level, improve research, analysis, and forecasting capacity, especially in the face of major world trends, to promptly advise and propose guidelines, policies, and solutions to serve the Party's leadership and direction of socio-economic affairs in the coming time.
Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu requested to promote theoretical research, summarize practice, and promptly advise the Party and State in formulating guidelines, policies; in developing a socialist-oriented market economy.
The Central Policy and Strategy Committee needs to promote its core role in organizing, guiding, and coordinating the implementation of strategic research activities; improving the quality of summarizing models and typical examples; proactively cooperating internationally, learning good development experiences in the world; forecasting and promptly grasping regional and international geo-economic and political fluctuations, trends of science and technology development, technical advances and security challenges, especially non-traditional security.
From there, draw lessons and arguments for policy and strategy proposals. Research must always closely follow the practical requirements of the country, contributing to concretizing and deepening the Party's development theory in the new period.
The Standing Secretary of the Secretariat clearly stated that it is necessary to always set the requirement to "take one step ahead" in research and advising to contribute to improving the quality of policy planning, combating the risk of falling behind; combating socialization deviation, meeting the increasing needs of people without losing equality, ensuring balance and harmony and the comprehensiveness of development.
As the Party's strategic advisory board, first of all, we must do a good job of Party building, especially in politics, ideology, ethics; organization and inspection, supervision, and discipline of the Party. Cadres and party members of the Board must be people who are steadfast in their stance and ideology; firmly grasp all Party guidelines and policies, especially on socio-economic development; pioneering and taking the lead in implementing Party Resolutions, especially important strategic resolutions" - the Standing Secretary of the Secretariat emphasized.
The Standing Committee of the Secretariat also requested to focus on building and training a truly typical contingent of cadres and party members in terms of political qualities, ethics, lifestyle, with firm bravery, good in expertise, and dedication to work; focusing on training and building a high-level, specialized research team, creating connection and taking advantage of the brainpower of intellectuals, experts, and scientists with capacity and enthusiasm.
