Continuing bilateral activities in Kazan within the framework of attending the ASEAN - Russia 35th Anniversary Summit, on June 18, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung received the General Director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung affirmed that the Party, State and Government of Vietnam highly value the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Russia, are interested in and wish to promote cooperation with Russia in all fields; welcome Russian businesses and investors operating in the Vietnamese market, contributing to the implementation of agreements of the highest leaders of the two countries, repositioning and comprehensively elevating mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in all fields.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the Government always creates favorable conditions for foreign investors, including Russian companies and corporations, to do business and operate stably in Vietnam. Trade and tourism cooperation between the two countries are also increasingly favorable, with many direct flights opened between the two countries.
Vietnam is continuing to improve the economic institution and improve the investment and business environment with a large volume of laws, resolutions, decrees, and circulars that have been promulgated, and many policies designed to create a competitive investment environment for FDI enterprises to do business more favorably in Vietnam.
General Director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev thanked Prime Minister Le Minh Hung for his support; affirming that Vietnam is developing rapidly and is a market with great investment attraction.
Mr. Kirill Dmitriev said that in recent years, the fund has established relationships and signed cooperation agreements with Vietnamese partners to promote investment in scientific research, biomedical technology transfer, vaccine production...; expressed his desire to cooperate with Vietnam to supply vaccines for domestic and regional needs.
He also emphasized that there are still many areas that have not been exploited and hoped that the Vietnamese Government would support Russian businesses, including the Russian Direct Investment Fund, to connect more deeply with the Vietnamese market.
The two sides agreed that there is still much potential for cooperation and many opportunities are opening up for businesses of the two countries in the current context, affirming to continue to strongly implement the signed agreements, ready to promote cooperation into other potential fields such as energy - oil and gas, tourism, resorts...
On this occasion, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung invited General Director Kirill Dmitriev to visit Vietnam soon to directly study and exchange with Vietnamese partners.
