On March 8, information from Nghe An Provincial People's Committee said that it had just issued Decision No. 683/QD-UBND on approving the Provincial Urban Development Program to 2030, with a vision to 2050.
According to the plan, Nghe An's urban network will be expanded and upgraded synchronously with 1 type I urban area being Vinh city, 2 type III urban areas including Hoang Mai city and Thai Hoa city, along with Dien Chau town and Do Luong town being oriented to develop into type IV or III urban areas.
In addition, the urban system of the province also includes 15 towns, districts and 25 sub-regional towns, reasonably allocated between development zones. Urban development not only focuses on expanding scale but also focuses on connectivity between regions, ensuring balanced development between regions in the province.
The expanded Vinh city is identified as the central core, playing a leading role in the overall development of the whole province, creating close links with important urban areas such as Hoang Mai, Thai Hoa, Dien Chau, Do Luong, Tra Lan and Quy Hop.
To realize the above goal, Nghe An has proposed many key solutions. One of the important directions is to build urban planning projects in a modern direction, applying digital technology to infrastructure management and development.
The province will focus on investing in developing a synchronous and complete infrastructure system, connecting inter-regions, ensuring convenient traffic between urban areas.
At the same time, urban areas will be developed in a sustainable direction, focusing on smart, environmentally friendly urban elements, adapting to climate change and preventing natural disasters. Promoting policies to attract investment in urban infrastructure is also one of the important solutions to create development resources.
The total estimated demand for urban development capital of the province in the period from now to 2030 is 97,187 billion VND.
The approval of the Provincial People's Committee of Nghe An Province's Urban Development Program to 2030, with a vision to 2050, is a strategic step to promote urbanization, create momentum for economic growth and improve the quality of life of the people.
Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee said that Nghe An's determination to develop urban areas is not only to meet economic growth requirements but also to improve the quality of life for people. The expansion and upgrading of urban areas will create many job opportunities, promote the development of trade, services and key industries.
On the other hand, a synchronous urban system will help improve living conditions, improve the quality of medical, educational and cultural infrastructure, aiming to build Nghe An into a comprehensively developed province, playing an important role in the North Central region.
