Kim Lien is the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh, a place of special political, historical and cultural significance, which has become familiar and sacred to the people of the whole country and has become a famous destination for domestic and foreign tourists. Therefore, continuing to use this place to name the new commune-level administrative unit after the arrangement has received very high consensus" - Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duc said.
In Vinh City, the locality also used the place name Cua Lo to name the ward - commune-level administrative unit after the arrangement. According to the latest project, Vinh city is expected to name the wards: Vinh 1, Vinh 2, Vinh 3, Vinh 4, Vinh 5 and Cua Lo ward.
After the Commune People's Council sends a report, the Vinh City People's Council will approve a resolution to reorganize commune-level administrative units before April 25.
The use of the name Cua Lo is explained because this place has become an attractive, famous domestic and international sea tourism destination with outstanding brand recognition value.
Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh also affirmed: Famous places, especially Kim Lien and Cua Lo, will be retained to name new commune-level administrative units after the arrangement; and other places need to be discussed and carefully considered.
The new name not only needs to facilitate administrative transactions and daily activities of the people, but also needs to preserve traditional, historical and local cultural elements. This is an issue that needs to be carefully studied and considered" - Mr. Le Hong Vinh emphasized.
It is known that in Ha Tinh, the leaders of Nghi Xuan district also agreed to use the place name Tien Dien ( hometown of Dai Thi Hoa - World Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Du) to name the commune-level administrative unit after the arrangement.
