On August 23, the Tra On Commune Party Committee solemnly held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.
Attending and directing the Congress were Comrade Nguyen Minh Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; along with leaders of provincial departments, branches, former local leaders and 249 delegates representing more than 1,300 Party members of 63 affiliated Party cells and Party Committees.
Tra On commune was established from the merger of Tich Thien commune and Tra On town. In the 2020-2025 term, the Commune Party Committee will lead the exploitation of potential, implement many solutions and achieve comprehensive results.
In particular, in building advanced new rural areas and civilized urban areas, Tra On town completed 13/16 targets of the Resolution, Tich Thien commune reached 13/14 targets. The agricultural economy continues to grow, shifting towards a positive direction; culture - society is concerned; the poverty rate has decreased significantly, down 88/125 households, average income per capita reached 61 million VND/person/year.
National defense and security are strengthened; Party building work is focused on, promoting the exemplary role of cadres and party members; the great national unity bloc continues to be strengthened.
Entering the 2025-2030 term, with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the Commune Party Committee set out 20 main targets, 2 breakthroughs, 6 key tasks and 6 specific solutions, striving to keep the commune meeting the advanced new rural standards.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Minh Dung praised the outstanding results that the Party Committee and People of Tra On commune have achieved in the past term, and emphasized that this is an important foundation for the commune to continue to develop in the new period.
He suggested that the new Party Executive Committee quickly stabilize the organization, build solidarity, thoroughly grasp the State's policies and guidelines and promote the spirit of "one province - one will - one action - one victorious belief".
He requested Tra On commune to develop a specific plan, clear people, work, responsibilities and deadlines; focus on exploiting the advantages of the center, developing high-tech agriculture, trade, services and rural tourism.
It is necessary to pay attention to social security, sustainable poverty reduction, care for people's lives and create conditions for private economic development according to Resolution 68.
The Congress announced the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, appointing the Executive Committee of the Tra On Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term consisting of 27 comrades, appointing the Standing Committee of the Party Committee consisting of 9 comrades. Comrade Nguyen Van Trang was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Tra On Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030.
