Lao State awards medals to 2 collectives and 13 individuals in Dien Bien province

Dien Bien - 2 collectives and 13 individuals were honored to receive the Order of Merit from the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

On the afternoon of August 21, the Delegation of Bo-keo province (Laos) organized the awarding of the Order of the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to 2 collectives and 13 individuals of Dien Bien province, recognizing their contributions in cooperative relations and supporting Bo-keo province's development.

The delegation of Bo-keo province was headed by Major General Pan Kham - Buddha Chan Pheng - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Bo-keo province.

At the ceremony, representatives of Bo-keo province announced the decisions of the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic on awarding medals to collectives and individuals of Dien Bien province.

In the list is Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dien Bien province - who was awarded the "It Sa La" Order, II class, for his many contributions to cooperative relations and resource support for the development of Bo Keo province.

7 individuals were awarded the Third-class "It Sa La" Order, including: Mr. Le Thanh Do - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Dien Bien province; Mr. Mua A Son - former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Lo Van Phuong - former Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Giang Thi Hoa - former Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Pham Duc Toan - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; Mr. Vu A Bang - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee and Mr. Lo Van Tien - former Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The Provincial Party Committee Office, Dien Bien Department of Foreign Affairs and 5 officials and former leaders of the Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism of Dien Bien (old) were awarded the Third-class Labor Medal.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Thanh Do said that the noble awards of the President of Laos are recognition of the contributions of collectives and individuals of Dien Bien province in cooperative relations and support for Bo-keo province.

This is also proof of the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, and also demonstrates the close relationship between Dien Bien province and Bo Keo province.

In the coming time, Dien Bien will continue to coordinate with Bo-keo to promote the tradition of solidarity and friendship, strengthen cooperation and mutual support, contributing to bringing the two localities to develop more and more.

The noble awards presented today are not only an honor and pride but also a responsibility for each collective and individual to continue to contribute, nurture and maintain the special friendship and solidarity relationship between the two countries" - Mr. Le Thanh Do emphasized.
