According to VNA, within the framework of the official visit to the French Republic and attending the Space Summit at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, on the afternoon of September 10 (local time), the official welcoming ceremony for General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife was solemnly held according to national protocol at the Invalides Palace in Paris. Minister in charge of the Francophone Community, International Partnership and French people abroad Eleonor Caroit chaired the welcoming ceremony.

The motorcade carrying General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife entered the main gate of the Invalides Palace. General Secretary and President To Lam was invited to an honorary position. The military band sang the Vietnamese National Anthem and the French National Anthem. At the end of the national anthem, General Secretary and President To Lam reviewed the military band and the honorary squad. Next, General Secretary and President To Lam and Minister Eleonor Caroit introduced the members attending the welcoming ceremony.

At the end of the welcoming ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam witnessed the handover ceremony of cooperation documents; met with the press; held talks with French President Emmanuel Macron and witnessed the handover ceremony of cooperation documents; and together with French President Emmanuel Macron met with leaders of some leading corporations and businesses of France and Vietnam.

Over the years, Vietnam-France relations have had a special depth, nurtured through many generations from historical, cultural, educational, scientific connections to extensive people-to-people exchanges. Overcoming the ups and downs of history, the two countries have successfully built friendly, equal, respectful relations and are heading towards the future.

To create more momentum for bilateral relations, traditional areas of cooperation such as culture, education, health, sports and science need to be closely linked with new development drivers such as digital technology, innovation and high-quality human resource training in key industries.

The two countries need to strongly promote the potential of the team of Vietnamese intellectuals and experts in France, creating conditions for this resource to directly contribute to the country's strategic breakthroughs; effectively promoting social and humane foundations will contribute to bringing the Vietnam-France Comprehensive Strategic Partnership relationship into increasing depth, substance, sustainability and being continued through generations.
