On August 9, the official meeting of the 13th National Assembly of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) in Quang Tri Province took place.
Attending the meeting were 279 official delegates representing the bloc of solidarity and unity of various social classes, religions, and ethnic groups in the province.
During the 2019-2024 term, with the synchronous and resolute participation of the entire political system, high consensus of the people, ethnic groups, religions, and VFF levels in the province and member organizations, the province's political tasks were implemented effectively.
From there, the effectiveness of the all-people solidarity force was promoted, and efforts were made to overcome difficulties and challenges, making a significant contribution to achieving the goal of economic recovery and growth, social stability, and national defense and security in the province.
Social movements and patriotic emulation campaigns launched by the VFF and political-social organizations, and member organizations were expanded; the position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front were enhanced.
With the spirit of "Unity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", the 13th National Assembly of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Quang Tri Province, 2024-2029 term, has the task of comprehensively evaluating the situation of the people, the results of implementing the Resolution of the 12th VFF Provincial Congress.
It sets out the targets, tasks, and unified action program of the VFF in the province for the new term, with the determination to promote the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the tradition of patriotism, the strength of national solidarity, and the implementation of socialist democracy, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of Party Congresses at all levels in the 2020-2025 and 2025-2030 periods, and realizing the goal that by 2030, Quang Tri Province will have a development level belonging to the province group of the country.
At the meeting, delegates agreed to elect 73 people to the Quang Tri Provincial VFF Committee, term XIII; Mr. Dao Manh Hung - Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial VFF Committee, term XII re-elected as Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial VFF Committee, term XIII, 2024-2029.
