On the afternoon of November 17, the People's Council of Quang Tri province held the 4th session of the 8th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026.
At the meeting, the People's Council of Quang Tri province elected Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee as Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
Also at this session, the People's Council of Quang Tri province considered dismissing Mr. Tran Phong from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for job transfer.
Previously, on the morning of November 17, the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Secretariat on personnel work.
The Secretariat decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee and introduced him to be elected Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Mr. Le Hong Vinh is 50 years old, from Do Luong, Nghe An province; has a master's degree, majoring in Science and Technology Management.
Mr. Le Hong Vinh has held many positions in the locality such as Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Transport, Secretary of Anh Son District Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Economic - Budget Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
In December 2024, Mr. Le Hong Vinh held the position of Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025.
In January 2025, Mr. Le Hong Vinh was elected to hold the position of Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.
