On August 7, information from the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that on August 5, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to appoint Mr. Le Van Cuong to the position of Director of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health, for a term of 5 years, from the date of signing.
It is known that from July 1, Mr. Cuong was previously assigned to be in charge of the operation of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health.
Mr. Le Van Cuong (born in 1978), from Hoang Hoa commune, Thanh Hoa province, graduated as a Medical Doctor from Hanoi Medical University in 2002; completed the residency program in Cardiology in 2006; Master of Planning and Health Policy at Leeds University (UK) in 2014; Doctor of Medicine at the 108 Institute of Clinical Pharmacy Science Research in 2017.
After more than 20 years of working in the health sector, Mr. Cuong has held many leadership and management positions.
Since December 2018, he has held the position of Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa General Hospital. In 2021, he was elected as a member of the 15th National Assembly, as a member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society. In 2023, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health.
In April 2025, he continued to be assigned to concurrently hold the position of Deputy Director of the Hanoi Medical University Branch in Thanh Hoa, under Hanoi Medical University.
