The 8th Congress of the Hai Phong City Journalists Association for the 2024-2029 term evaluated and summarized the association's activities over the past 5 years, and determined the direction and tasks for the 2024-2029 term.
In the past 5 years (2019-2024), Hai Phong press has developed remarkably in many aspects, the types of press are increasingly diverse, meeting the development trend of professional and modern press. The number of press agencies remains stable, the number of publications and broadcasting time is increasing; the quality of content and form is clearly improved. The team of journalists in press agencies has increased in both quantity and quality.
In the new term, the City Journalists Association will continue to innovate, train its mettle, strengthen solidarity, dynamism, creativity, enhance its role and quality of activities, and actively contribute to the goal of building and developing Hai Phong into a leading city in the country in the cause of industrialization and modernization; a driving force for the development of the Northern region and the whole country.
The Congress elected an Executive Committee of 9 members and elected Journalist Nguyen Anh Tu, Permanent Vice President of the City Journalists Association for the 2019-2024 term, to hold the position of President of the City Journalists Association for the 2024-2029 term.
On this occasion, the City People's Committee presented the Hai Phong Journalists Association with a banner "City Journalists Association: Solidarity - Courage - Intelligence contributing to building a modern and civilized Hai Phong city".
