Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan elected Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee

Lang Son - At the first session of the 18th Lang Son Provincial People's Council, delegates elected key positions of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee for the 2026 - 2031 term.

On the afternoon of March 26, the 18th Lang Son Provincial People's Council, term 2026 - 2031, held the first meeting to elect key positions of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee according to regulations.

The meeting was chaired by Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Doan Thi Hau.

With 100% of the votes in favor, Ms. Doan Thi Hau was re-elected as Chairwoman of the People's Council of Lang Son province for the term 2026 - 2031.

The two new Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council are Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Mr. Nguyen Van Truong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee.

The session also elected Heads of Committees of the Provincial People's Council.

Mr. Hoang Van Tai holds the position of Head of the Economic - Budget Committee. Mr. Vy Quang Dung was elected as Head of the Culture - Society Committee. Mr. Vu Quang Hung holds the position of Head of the Legal Committee. Ms. Tran Thi Son Thuy was elected as Head of the Ethnic Committee.

In the Provincial People's Committee bloc, Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the term 2021 - 2026, was elected to hold the position of Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee for the term 2026 - 2031.

The three new Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee include Mr. Dinh Huu Hoc, Mr. Doan Thanh Son and Ms. Tran Thanh Nhan.

All three are members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, currently holding the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.

The consolidation of key leadership positions at the first session of the 18th Provincial People's Council is considered a step to complete the apparatus to deploy socio-economic development, defense, and security tasks of Lang Son in the period 2026 - 2031.

Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan, born in 1976, native of Quynh Luu district (old), Nghe An province, holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management and Advanced Political Theory.

Throughout his career, he has held many important positions in state agencies, from the State Audit Office, the Central Economic Committee (now the Central Policy and Strategy Committee), to the State Capital Management Committee at enterprises and the Deputy Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee.

Ms. Doan Thi Hau, born in 1969, Tay ethnicity, native of former Chi Lang district (now Chi Lang commune, Lang Son province). She holds a master's degree in social sciences and humanities, senior in political theory.

She has held positions such as Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of Lang Son Provincial People's Council, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Council.

Currently, she is Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Lang Son province.
