On the afternoon of November 13, the Hanoi People's Council held a thematic session (the 27th session of the 16th City People's Council, term XVI, 2021 - 2026) to promptly review personnel work and decide on a number of contents under its authority.
Regarding personnel work, the Hanoi People's Council has dismissed Mr. Tran Sy Thanh from the position of Chairman of the City People's Committee because he has been elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee.
At the session, with the majority of delegates present in agreement, the Hanoi People's Council elected Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee - to hold the position of Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, term 2021-2026.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung (born in 1974, hometown: Thanh Hoa) has a Master's degree in Political Economics, Bachelor's degree in Economics, and Bachelor's degree in English.
