On February 13, the Hanoi Party Committee issued Notice No. 258-TB/TU on reassigning tasks for the Standing Committee of the 18th City Party Committee, term 2025-2030.
Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Van Phong resigned from the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee in charge of building grassroots Party organizations.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Dong, Member of the Party Central Committee, resigned from the position of Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee in charge of building grassroots Party organizations to hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Dong was born in 1969, native of Phuc Thinh commune, Hanoi; political qualifications: advanced; educational level: Land Management Engineer, Bachelor of Foreign Languages, Bachelor of Political Science.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Dong has a long history of attachment and maturity at specialized agencies of the Capital; he is trusted to hold many important positions in Hanoi city.
Period from September 2013 to December 2020: He held the position of Director of Hanoi Department of Natural Resources and Environment; was elected to the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee of the XVII term (October 2020).
From December 2020, he was a member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee.
On October 16, 2025, at the XVIII Hanoi City Party Congress, Mr. Nguyen Trong Dong was elected to the City Party Committee Executive Committee and at the first Conference, he was elected to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee.
At the 14th National Party Congress, Mr. Nguyen Trong Dong was elected as a member of the 14th Central Committee of the Party.
