On the afternoon of September 18, in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Central Propaganda and Training Commission organized a Conference to announce the decision of the Standing Committee of the Party Committees of Central Party Agencies.
According to the decision, Mr. Tran Thanh Lam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Training Commission was appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Propaganda and Training Commission agency for the term 2025 - 2030.
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Long Hai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies awarded the Decision to Mr. Tran Thanh Lam.
Mr. Tran Thanh Lam, born on September 11, 1973, native of Ninh Binh province. He holds a Master's degree in Information Administration.
During his work process, from February 2017 - December 2021, he held the position of Deputy Director, Director of the Press and Publication Department (from August 2019), Central Propaganda Department; Standing Vice Chairman of the Journalists Association of the Central Propaganda Department.
From December 2021 - March 2024, he held the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department; concurrently Vice Chairman of the Central Council for Literary and Art Theory and Criticism.
From March 2024 - June 2025, he will be Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
From June 2025 - July 2026, he holds the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Member of the 14th Party Central Committee (from January 2026).
From August 1, 2026, Member of the 14th Party Central Committee; Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department (renamed the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department to the Central Propaganda Department according to Decision No. 209-QD/TW of the Politburo).
