Decision to rename the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department into the Central Propaganda Department

    On July 31, 2026, Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat, on behalf of the Politburo, signed and issued Decision No. 209-QD/TW on renaming the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee to the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee.

    According to the Decision, the renaming and transfer of advisory functions on mass mobilization work from the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission to the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations takes effect from August 1, 2026.

    The Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee was established from February 2025 on the basis of merging the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee and the Central Mass Mobilization Committee. This is the advisory body of the Central Executive Committee, directly and regularly the Politburo, the Secretariat, on propaganda, mass mobilization and Party building in all political, ideological, and moral aspects.
