On March 28, the People's Council of Dong Thap province, term X, 2021 - 2026, chaired by Mr. Phan Van Thang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, held an extraordinary session for the 13th time, reviewing, voting, and approving many important contents. Including the election of the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and dismissal of the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The session was attended by Mr. Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Thap province.
At the session, delegates of the Provincial People's Council elected Mr. Tran Tri Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term. At the same time, Mr. Le Chi Thien - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment was elected to hold the position of Member of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee, term 2021 - 2026.
Also at the meeting, delegates agreed to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thien - Provincial Party Committee member from the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term, due to his assignment as Secretary of the Sa Dec City Party Committee. At the same time, 5 cases were dismissed from the position of People's Committee Member for the 2021 - 2026 term.
Including: Mr. Phan Huu Phuoc - former Director of the Department of Home Affairs, due to retirement; Mr. Ho Thanh Phuong - former Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, due to retirement; Mr. Pham Viet Cong - Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, former Director of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Dao - Secretary of the Cao Lanh District Party Committee, former Director of the Department of Planning and Investment; Mr. Le Hoang Bao - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department, former Director of the Department of Transport.
At this session, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee decided to award Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 11 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Innovation of content and methods of operation, improving the quality and efficiency of activities of the Provincial People's Council in 2024".
