On June 4, the Steering Committee for the merger of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong provinces (abbreviated as the Steering Committee) said that this unit had issued a notice of assigning specific tasks to members of the Steering Committee.
Accordingly, Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie K dam, Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee is responsible for comprehensively leading and operating the activities of the Steering Committee.
In particular, directing members to perform assigned tasks, chair meetings, sign reports, submissions, projects, and plans to submit to the Central Committee according to requirements and progress.
The Steering Committee assigned Mr. Y Thanh Ha Ni Ni KD to decide important issues within the scope of functions, tasks and powers; Direct the implementation of contents and tasks according to the Joint Plan to consolidate 3 provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong; Leading and directing the preparation of the Congress of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee (New) term 2025 - 2030.
The two Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh (Secretary of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee) and Mr. Ngo Thanh Danh (Secretary of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee), were assigned to co-chair the Steering Committee meetings.
In particular, directing and organizing the implementation of assigned tasks; comprehensively directing the work of arranging commune-level administrative units in Binh Thuan and Dak Nong provinces and the work of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term in Binh Thuan and Dak Nong provinces;
Direct the development of the working regulations of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee (New) term 2020 - 2025, term 2025 - 2030 ... The Steering Committee also assigns specific tasks for 16 other members.
Previously, the Standing Committee of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong Provincial Party Committees decided to establish a Steering Committee for the merger of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong provinces.
Accordingly, Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie K dam, Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee is the Head of the Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh, Secretary of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee and Mr. Ngo Thanh Danh, Secretary of Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee are Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee.
The members are the Steering Committee including: Permanent Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong; Chairman of People's Committee of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong; Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, Dak Nong; Head of Propaganda and Mobilization Department; Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of 3 provinces; Leaders of Department of Home Affairs, Department of Finance, Chief of Office of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of 3 provinces.
The Steering Committee is responsible for directing and coordinating with Party agencies, authorities and socio-political organizations of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong provinces in preparing and developing projects, organizing the implementation of the merger steps according to plan.
According to Decision No. 759/QD-TTg dated April 14 signed by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh approving the Project to rearrange and reorganize administrative units at all levels and build a model of organizing local government at 2 levels, Dak Nong, Binh Thuan and Lam Dong become a new province called Lam Dong.
The new Lam Dong province will have the largest natural area in the country with 24,233km2 and a population of more than 3.3 million people. The new provincial administrative and political center is expected to be located in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province. After the merger, Lam Dong province is expected to have 124 communes, wards and special zones.
