On April 17, at the Memorial Area of Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet (Trung Thanh commune), the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province organized the 2026 Ethnic Culture Festival with many meaningful activities.
The event aims to celebrate the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031, Chôl Chnăm Thmây Tet of the Khmer people and Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day (April 19).
Speaking at the festival, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan requested localities to continue to thoroughly grasp Ho Chi Minh's ideology, the Party's guidelines, and the State's policies and laws on ethnic and religious affairs.
The Vice President emphasized that it is necessary to identify ethnic minority affairs as a long-term strategic issue, and at the same time as a regular and urgent task; linking cultural and human development with the goals, motivations and endogenous resources of development.

Localities need to focus on removing bottlenecks in institutions, infrastructure, public investment, administrative reform, digital transformation, improving the quality of human resources, improving the investment environment, and prioritizing resources for ethnic minority areas.
At the same time, promoting the subjective role of the People, innovating mass mobilization work, building an effective and efficient government, serving people and businesses better in the new situation.
On this occasion, the working delegation of Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented Vinh Long province with 10 houses of great solidarity worth 800 million VND and many gifts to ethnic minority delegates.
