The working delegation of the National Election Council led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly, Member of the National Election Council as Head of the delegation - surveyed and inspected the preparation for the election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term in Quang Ninh.
Working with the delegation were Ms. Trinh Thi Minh Thanh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Election Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, Provincial National Assembly Delegation.
According to a report from Quang Ninh province, with the involvement of the entire political system, the election deployment in Quang Ninh was carried out according to plan, ensuring quality.
To date, the Provincial Election Commission and departments and branches have issued nearly 490 directing and guiding documents; announced 381 constituencies for National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels.
Communes, wards, and special zones have divided 1,243 voting areas, of which 1,190 areas are located at village, hamlet, and neighborhood cultural houses; 7 areas at commune-level cultural and sports centers; 8 areas at schools; 34 areas at armed forces units and 4 areas at other locations.
The work of consultation and introduction of candidates was carried out strictly and in accordance with procedures. After 3 consultations, the official list included 1,967 candidates, including 15 National Assembly deputies, 93 provincial People's Council deputies and 1,859 commune-level People's Council deputies.
By January 31, 2026, the whole province will complete the review, compilation and listing of voter lists, 4 days earlier than regulations. The total number of voters listed is 1,044,539 people.
Speaking at the working session, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly, Member of the National Election Council, highly appreciated Quang Ninh's proactive and serious spirit in preparation work.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly requested the province to continue to clearly assign responsibilities, linking direction with inspection and supervision; carefully review the establishment and posting of voter lists, promptly resolve complaints and denunciations (if any); promote propaganda, create a joyful atmosphere before the election day.
At the same time, ensuring political security, social order and safety, especially in border areas, border gates, and seaports; proactively preventing and handling bad and toxic information, acts of taking advantage of elections to cause instability; reviewing the entire polling area, ensuring travel and communication conditions in mountainous and island areas; organizing decoration and solemn celebrations in accordance with regulations.
Previously, the working delegation conducted a field survey at ballot area No. 7, Bai Chay 5B neighborhood and ballot area No. 14, Hung Thang 1 neighborhood (Bai Chay ward).
