On the afternoon of June 12, at the headquarters of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh and the working delegation presented many meaningful gifts to policy families, people with meritorious services to the revolution and students in the area.
At the program, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh and the working delegation presented 500 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to families of people with meritorious services, wounded soldiers, and sick soldiers; 500 English reading pens for students; 500 gifts including milk, candies; 500 books for students and teachers; and 50 bicycles for students. The total value of the gifts is about 1.6 billion VND.

Speaking at the program, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh emphasized that the gift-giving program took place in the atmosphere of the whole country towards the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, showing the good traditions of "Drinking water, remembering the source", "Gratitude" of the nation.
Expressing deep gratitude to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, policy families and people with meritorious services to the revolution, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly affirmed that the Party, State and People always remember the great sacrifices and contributions of previous generations to the cause of national liberation, construction and defense of the Fatherland.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly wished policy families to continue to promote revolutionary traditions, be bright examples for the younger generation to follow; actively mobilize children and grandchildren to well comply with the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State, contributing to building Dien Bien homeland to become increasingly rich, beautiful, and civilized.
Sending his feelings to the students, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that they are the future of their homeland and country; hoping that they will be diligent, study well, cultivate good morality, nurture aspirations to rise up, overcome difficulties to become useful citizens for society.
