In the afternoon of March 4, the inspection and supervision delegation of the Sub-committee on ensuring security, order and social safety under the National Election Council led by Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong worked in Nhon Ai commune (Can Tho City) on ensuring security, order, and social safety to serve the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.


At the working session, the Nhon Ai Commune Election Commission said that the preparation work was carried out seriously and in accordance with regulations. The commune has established 7 election committees, implemented consultations, and prepared to collect voters' opinions at the place of residence according to the correct procedures. Propaganda work has been promoted; political security and social order and safety have been maintained; security assurance plans before, during and after the election have been actively built. The receipt and settlement of complaints and denunciations related to the election have been concerned and handled promptly.


From now until the election day, the commune will continue to review and update voter lists; post lists and biographies of candidates at polling stations; complete the issuance of voter cards 7-10 days in advance. Polling stations are conveniently arranged, ensuring facilities, hygiene and security and order.
The Commune Election Commission assigned continuous duty, including weekends, to promptly handle arising issues. From December 5 - 3, the locality organized a comprehensive inspection of preparation work, ensuring that the election took place in accordance with the law, safely, democratically, and economically.

At the working session, representatives of the Nhon Ai Commune Election Commission informed about the work of ensuring security, order, and social safety to serve the election work. Members of the delegation also exchanged and clarified the preparation work, election organization plan and the organization of voter meetings of candidates for the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in the area.
Speaking at the inspection and supervision session, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactive and responsible spirit of the locality in the election preparation work. The tasks were implemented seriously and closely, ensuring progress; the work of consultation and personnel preparation was in accordance with procedures; security and order were strengthened.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly requested Party committees and authorities to continue to carefully review the list, firmly grasp the situation, and handle arising issues in accordance with regulations, ensuring the rights and obligations of citizens. Each member of the Commune Election Committee, cadres, and civil servants need to identify elections as a particularly important political task in March, focusing highly to successfully complete the task.
In the coming time, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that localities need to fully grasp the guiding documents of the Central Government and the National Election Council; prepare carefully in each stage so that election day is truly a festival for the whole people. The focus is on strengthening professional training and guidance for units and election teams; arranging voting areas scientifically and reasonably; listing voters' lists fully and clearly.

At the same time, develop plans to support the elderly and people with disabilities; guide voters to distinguish between ballot boxes for National Assembly and People's Council deputies; arrange forces to be on duty, ensuring safety throughout the election period; promote propaganda, creating a joyful and solemn atmosphere.
Regarding ensuring security and order, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly requested to review the coordination plan between forces; assign specific tasks, firmly grasp the situation, not to be passive or surprised; carefully check polling stations, promptly report when situations arise; implement the "four on-the-spot" motto, ensuring that the election takes place safely, democratically, and in accordance with the law.
