Voters in Can Tho city proposed that the Ministry of Construction soon deploy investment to upgrade and expand National Highway 60, the section from Dai Ngai roundabout to Soc Trang ward. Because currently this road has many narrow, degraded sections causing traffic unsafety.
The Ministry of Construction would like to answer as follows:
Implementing the provisions of Decree No. 165/2024/ND-CP dated December 26, 2024 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Road Law and Article 77 of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, based on the proposal of the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Finance issued Decision No. 2142/QD-BTC dated June 24, 2025 transferring assets of road traffic infrastructure (including National Highway 60 section from Dai Ngai commune to Soc Trang ward) from the Ministry of Construction to the People's Committee of Soc Trang province (now Can Tho City).
According to legal regulations, the People's Committee of Can Tho City is responsible for managing, exploiting, maintaining and investing in the route section, so it is proposed that the National Assembly Delegation and voters of Can Tho City give opinions to the People's Committee of Can Tho City to organize a survey of the current situation, study the necessity of investment and balance and allocate capital to implement investment as proposed by voters above.
