Khanh Hoa - Inspecting the planning location of Ninh Thuan 1 and Ninh Thuan 2 nuclear power plants, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son listened to the people's concerns.

On the morning of July 24, Party Central Committee member and Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son led a Central working delegation to visit and inspect the planning of Ninh Thuan 1 and Ninh Thuan 2 Nuclear Power Plants in Khanh Hoa province.

In Vinh Hai commune, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son conducted a field survey and listened to a report on the implementation of the Ninh Thuan 2 Nuclear Power Plant project.

At the same time, they visited and grasped the thoughts and aspirations of the people in the project implementation planning area.

The second nuclear power plant in Vinh Hai commune has so far completed the inventory of 534 households/405.5ha and 3 organizations, an increase of 84 households compared to the announced land acquisition.

The resettlement area alone has a total area of 54.40 hectares, 202 households/45 hectares and 85 graves have been inventoried, an increase of 9.4 hectares compared to Decision No. 794/QD-TTg.

In Phuoc Dinh commune, after inspecting the planning area of Ninh Thuan 1 Nuclear Power Plant, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son acknowledged the results of the locality's inventory, verification of land origin, land dispute settlement... work.

To date, the locality has issued 497 notices of land reclamation, with an area of 409.53ha/491 households, 6 organizations; established 100% of counting records for households with reclaimed land.

The resettlement area for nuclear power plant 1 alone has a total area of 64.85 hectares, an increase of 24.2 hectares compared to Decision No. 794/QD-TTg.

Interacting and exchanging with people in the project area, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son listened to opinions in support for the project to be implemented soon.

The Deputy Prime Minister also acknowledged the opinions and recommendations of people in the project area after relocation to ensure better living conditions.

Through on-site inspection, the working group will review the current status of land and infrastructure as well as listen to concerns and grasp the lives of people in the two planned areas for the construction of nuclear power plants.

This is also the basis for ministries, central and local branches to continue researching development orientations in the coming time.

At the on-site inspection points, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son also presented gifts to the people.

According to Decision No. 794/QD-TTg dated June 8, 2015 of the Prime Minister, the total area subject to recovery of the Ninh Thuan 1 and Ninh Thuan 2 nuclear power projects is 1,279.52ha/1,288 households, with 4,911 people.

In fact, the total area subject to recovery of the two projects is 1,130.14ha/1,153 households, with a total of 5,229 people.
