Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra takes on additional tasks

Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra was assigned to be the Head of the State Steering Committee for Tourism.

The Prime Minister has just issued Decision No. 1526/QD-TTg dated August 11, 2026 on consolidating the State Steering Committee for Tourism.

Accordingly, the Head of the Steering Committee is Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra.

The Deputy Head of the Committee is Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The members of the Steering Committee include: Mr. Ho An Phong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Standing Member); Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang - Deputy Minister of National Defense; Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung - Deputy Minister of Public Security; Mr. Ngo Le Van - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Do Ngoc Huynh - Deputy Chairman of the Government Office; Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc - Deputy Minister of Finance; Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs; Mr. Vo Van Hung - Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment; Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh - Deputy Minister of Education and Training; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Sang - Deputy Minister of Construction; Mr. Bui Hoang Phuong - Deputy Minister of Science and Technology; Mr. Tran Van Thuan - Deputy Minister of Health; Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh - Director of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Member, Chief of Office of the Steering Committee.

The Steering Committee operates according to the Regulations issued together with Decision No. 170/QD-BCĐNNDL dated November 21, 2025 of the State Steering Committee for Tourism.

This decision takes effect from August 11, 2026 and replaces Decision No. 1532/QD-TTg dated July 15, 2025 of the Prime Minister on consolidating the State Steering Committee for Tourism.
