In the afternoon of May 26, during a working program in Dien Bien, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra and the working delegation came to offer incense at the Memorial House of General Vo Nguyen Giap, located at the Dien Bien Phu Campaign Headquarters relic, Muong Phang commune.
In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra and delegates offered incense, observed a minute of silence to commemorate and expressed their deep gratitude to General Vo Nguyen Giap, the eldest brother of the Vietnam People's Army.
Before the spirit of General Vo Nguyen Giap, the working delegation vowed to continue to promote the glorious revolutionary tradition of the nation, unite, unify, uphold the spirit of responsibility, wholeheartedly serve the Fatherland, and serve the people.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra and the working delegation visited and inspected the ground of the Dien Bien Phu cable car complex combined with cultural and historical tourism project in Muong Phang commune.
After listening to the report, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that the research and construction process should ensure characteristics, create a distinctive mark, and form a unique tourism product, bearing the unique identity of Dien Bien.
At the same time, it is necessary to focus on harmoniously linking tourism development with preserving and promoting local historical and cultural values; effectively exploiting unique traditional cultural features, connecting with the historical values of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
