Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra has new tasks

Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra was assigned to be the Head of the National Steering Committee for searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision 245/QD-TTg dated February 5, 2026 on consolidating the National Steering Committee for searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains (Steering Committee).

According to the decision, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra is the Head of the Steering Committee.

The 2 Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee are Deputy Minister of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong and Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Thi Ha.

The members include: Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee Tran Thanh Lam; Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To - Deputy Minister of Public Security; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang; Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Quoc Phuong; Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Lam Thi Phuong Thanh; Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Vu Hai Quan; Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan; Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh - Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hong Huong - Vice President of the Vietnam Veterans Association; Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology Chu Hoang Ha; Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television Dinh Dac Vinh; Deputy General Director of Voice of Vietnam Vu Hai Quang; Major General Doan Quang Hoa - Director of the Department of Social Policy, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's

The National Steering Committee has the function of assisting the Prime Minister in directing and implementing Decision No. 1515/QD-TTg dated September 14, 2021 on promulgating the Plan to search for and repatriate martyrs' remains and identify martyrs' remains with missing information until 2030 and the following years.

The Steering Committee has the task of researching and proposing to the Prime Minister mechanisms and policies to ensure the good implementation of the work of searching for and repatriating martyrs' remains and identifying martyrs' remains that lack information.

Expanding international cooperation in implementing the task of searching for and repatriating martyrs' remains and identifying martyrs' remains that lack information.
