On the afternoon of February 5, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra had a working trip to Dong Thap; visited and presented Tet gifts to people with meritorious services, poor households and workers in difficult circumstances in the province.
Accompanying him were Mr. Ngo Van Cuong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, central organizations; Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Expressing excitement about the outstanding results that Dong Thap province achieved in 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra highly appreciated the province's efforts after implementing administrative boundaries merger, arranging the organizational structure in the 2-level government model, and gradually building a streamlined, efficient, effective, and efficient local government.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra sent to the leaders of Dong Thap province and all people good wishes for a new year.
To ensure that every citizen and every family has the conditions to celebrate Tet warmly and reunited, the Deputy Prime Minister hopes that Dong Thap province will continue to have more new and effective ways of encouraging and motivating people to overcome difficulties... thereby both rising up in life and contributing to the socio-economic development of the homeland and country.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra presented 100 Tet gifts to poor and near-poor households, including 50 workers and laborers in difficult circumstances in Dong Thap province. Each gift is worth 2.3 million VND, including 2 million VND in cash and a gift basket worth 300 thousand VND.
Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra also presented 100 million VND to the Dong Thap Provincial Center for Nursing People with Meritorious Services; visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ba (88 years old, residing in Long Thuan neighborhood, My Phong ward).
