On January 30, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son inspected the ground for preparations for the 2026 Spring Fair at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) in Dong Anh, Hanoi. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the 2026 Spring Fair is the first fair organized to welcome a new Spring, welcome a new era for the country after the success of the 14th National Party Congress.
Through inspection, the Deputy Prime Minister realized that, despite the short time, ministries, branches, localities and businesses, together with VEC, have proactively deployed preparation work, basically meeting the progress requirements.
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to closely coordinate with VEC, ministries, branches, and localities to ensure the progress and quality of booths; summarize proposals for financial support from ministries, branches, and localities and work with the Ministry of Finance to review and appraise, ensuring that negativity and waste do not occur.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with Vietnam Television to prepare carefully for the opening and closing ceremonies; coordinates with localities to organize lucky draws and give gifts to consumers; organizes unique music and cultural activities of localities to create a joyful atmosphere for the people.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested Hanoi City to direct the market management force to coordinate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade in inspecting and controlling the quality of goods brought to the fair; direct functional forces to ensure absolute security and safety in the fair, absolutely preventing theft; organize traffic diversion, increase the frequency of bus trips to the Exhibition Center.
Regarding information work, the Deputy Prime Minister requested ministries, localities, and businesses to proactively coordinate with press agencies in propaganda and promotion of products, delivery methods... to create favorable conditions for people to shop.

The 2026 Spring Fair is scheduled to take place from February 2nd to 3rd, 2026, not only serving the short-term goal of stimulating consumer demand during Tet, but also aiming for a longer-term goal of building a comprehensive and professional trade promotion event according to international standards, gradually making Vietnam a regional fair and exhibition center.
The fair is designed with a scale of about 100,000 m2 of indoor space and more than 45,000 m2 of outdoor space, including 10 display halls, each hall about 10,000 m2, with about 3,000 standard booths and areas serving cultural, culinary and experiential activities.
One of the highlights of the 2026 Spring Fair is the organization approach according to the concept of "spring journey across Vietnam", harmoniously combining commerce, culture and experience. Accordingly, the fair is divided into 8 large sub-zones, each sub-zone with its own unique but unified overall.
According to Mr. Hoang Minh Chien, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the integration of diverse sub-zones not only helps expand market access opportunities for businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, but also contributes to "cultural connection, recreating the traditional Tet space, promoting tourism and traditional arts, thereby increasing the value of experience for the fair".
