On August 11, at the 2-9 Hall, the Pleiku Ward Party Committee, Gia Lai Province, solemnly opened the 1st Ward Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
Politburo member, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia attended and directed the Congress. The Congress has 250 delegates, representing more than 3,200 party members of 75 party organizations under the Ward Party Committee, attending.
Pleiku ward was established on the basis of merging 4 wards: Tay Son, Hoi Thuong, Hoa Lu, Phu Dong and Tra Da commune. This is an urban foundation area, an economic - social center, and a development driving force of the province.
In the 2020-2025 term, in the context of many difficulties and challenges, the Party Committee and People of Pleiku Ward have promoted the spirit of solidarity, striving to achieve many important achievements in all fields.
In 2025, the total production value is estimated at VND48,490 billion, an increase of 8% compared to 2020; export turnover for the period 2021-2025 is estimated to reach 100% of the plan. Average income per capita by 2025 is estimated to reach 145 million VND/year, 1.75 times higher than in 2020.
The poverty rate in the ward is currently only 0.04%; the rate of people participating in health insurance compared to the population is 89.94%; 100% of villages, hamlets, and residential groups in the area have achieved the title of "Cultural Residential Area"...
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuoc - Secretary of the Pleiku Ward Party Committee - said that the ward determined that the goal for the 2025-2030 term is to build a clean and strong Party Committee and political system in all aspects. At the same time, focus on removing bottlenecks and bottlenecks in mechanisms and policies; unblocking and releasing resources to serve socio-economic development.
In the coming time, Pleiku ward will focus on leading and directing the implementation of 5 key tasks. That is to focus on implementing projects for shopping areas, cuisine, entertainment activities at night (Hoi Phu stream area, Dai Doan Ket Square...).
Attract investment in projects with spillover effects such as: CK54 urban area; high-end villas and townhouses; Luong Thanh street residential area project; Tra Da resort ecological area and villa; high-rise commercial complex construction project; commercial, service, shophouse project...
Promote the development of community tourism associated with exploiting indigenous cultural and historical values. Develop tourism, resort services, cuisine, traditional craft villages... to create sustainable livelihoods for people.
Pleiku Ward coordinates to effectively exploit Tra Da Industrial Park, supporting the development of small and medium enterprises and startups in the area.
Speaking at the Congress, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed that Pleiku ward has a lot of potential; the Ward Party Committee must be determined to develop Pleiku quickly and sustainably, becoming a "green - civilized - unique destination".
Pleiku also focuses on building a model ward, together with Gia Lai and the whole country entering an era of strong national development.
In particular, Pleiku focuses on developing ecological agriculture, clean and organic agriculture in the direction of commodity production; mobilizing all resources to develop synchronous and modern urban infrastructure, becoming the core to promote the development of localities in western Gia Lai.
