On July 30, in Hanoi, Politburo member, Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and gave a speech at the 12th Congress of the Party Committee of Vietnam Television (VTV) for the 2025-2030 term.
In his speech, the Prime Minister emphasized that VTV has performed well its role as a bridge between the Party, State and people; an interactive tool of society; carrying out the mission of creating motivation and inspiration for the entire nation and country, especially in difficult and challenging times and even when there are many opportunities and advantages.
The head of the Government hopes that VTV will continue to better perform strategic consulting work for the Party and State; maintain solidarity and unity; innovate and create to adapt to current conditions.
The Prime Minister requested the Station to develop into a prestigious television station in the region and the world; the Station's information must be timely, fast, accurate, analytical and evaluative; modern equipment, smart governance.
According to the Prime Minister, in nearly 40 years of renovation, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has always played a particularly important role in the country's political and social life, being an important weapon of the Party on the ideological front.
The Prime Minister pointed out that VTV, as the main national media agency, needs to continue to pioneer and take the lead in information and propaganda, contributing to improving the capacity for theoretical thinking in society, firmly consolidating the Party's ideological foundation, and arousing the desire to contribute to the entire nation.
To continue promoting the role and position of the Station in the new era of national development, the Prime Minister requested the VTV Party Committee to focus on leading, directing, improving the leadership capacity and fighting spirit of the Party organization and Party members; continue to affirm its mission and role as a national television station, a key media media agency.
Especially in the current period, VTV needs to step up propaganda work on Party Congresses at all levels and the first Congress of the Government Party Committee towards the 14th National Party Congress; commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2; thereby contributing to creating an exciting and consistent atmosphere in the whole society.
The station must continue to develop into a modern, modern, multimedia media agency, taking the lead in digital transformation, applying new technologies, artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing... to the production - broadcasting - distributing - interaction process, focusing on building a professional, modern national foreign television channel with regional and international stature.
The Prime Minister requested VTV to continue to organize and rearrange the scientific, streamlined, strong, efficient, effective and efficient apparatus.
The agency needs to develop an action program to effectively implement the Central's resolutions and conclusions, with "high determination, great efforts, drastic actions, focus, and key points; complete each task", assign "clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear authority, clear time, clear results".
