On July 26, the Department of Construction of Gia Lai province said that along with the Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway project, efforts are being made to implement compensation and site clearance, the unit is urgently developing a project to open a new bus route.
The Quy Nhon - Pleiku bus route connects the Administrative Center with Pleiku ward and surrounding areas, with ticket price support from the State budget.
Quy Nhon and Pleiku are two major urban centers of the region, with the goal of forming a dynamic urban area, model for tourism and ecology.

The opening of the bus route aims to serve people, staff, and tourists to move conveniently and quickly between these locations.
According to the Department of Construction of Gia Lai province, although the expressway project is under implementation, it will not be able to open the route until 2029 at the earliest.
Therefore, it is necessary to open a new bus route to increase trade between forests and seas, transporting goods and passengers mainly along National Highway 19 (which has been completed, upgraded and expanded with lanes allowing cars to travel at a speed of 80 km/h).
On July 23, the Department of Construction of Gia Lai province announced that it had issued a notice to stop fixed trips to pick up and drop off officers, employees and workers from Gia Lai to Quy Nhon for work. Civil servants using travel support funds from the provincial budget will choose their own transportation units, travel time frames and methods suitable for their personal work and living needs.
