According to the Government Electronic Information Portal on September 18, the Ministry of National Defence has just held a conference to review the experience of establishing Corps 12.
The report at the conference said that through the implementation of the organization and staffing of Corps 12, the process of organizing training, combat readiness, regular construction and the results of the exercise, it was affirmed that the organization of the "lean, compact, strong" corps is a correct, scientific and practical policy of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense.
Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defence - acknowledged and commended the results of the mission implementation of Corps 12.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong suggested that the agencies and functional units of the Ministry of National Defence evaluate, learn from experience, and overcome limitations in the process of establishing Corps 12 to effectively apply them to the establishment of Corps 34.
In particular, focusing on perfecting Party organizations and mass organizations to ensure that all activities of Corps 34 are not interrupted.
The competent authorities shall properly implement the procedures and regulations according to the decentralization of the mobilization, appointment and rotation of cadres; ensure that the cadres, non-commissioned officers and technical staff of the Corps after its establishment have sufficient quantity and quality.
In particular, it is necessary to implement policy work well, especially to resolve the surplus staff and staff over the planning age according to regulations.
Previously, on July 31, in Pleiku City, Gia Lai Province, General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defence - led a delegation from the Ministry of National Defence to visit and work with the Corps 3 Command.
Here, General Phan Van Giang emphasized the requirement: "It is necessary to make cadres, party members, employees, and soldiers deeply aware of the policy of adjusting the Army organization as an objective necessity, a concrete step to realize the goal of the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress to complete the dissolution of Corps 3, Corps 4, and establish Corps 34 according to the determined plan".
General Phan Van Giang requested that Corps 3 continue to seriously and effectively implement policies and regulations, build and rectify the Party, maintain and strengthen the leadership of Party committees and organizations at all levels; build a comprehensively strong and "exemplary" agency and unit, especially after the merger and establishment of Corps 34.
On July 30, at a working session with Corps 4, General Phan Van Giang emphasized that 2024 is the year to basically complete the adjustment of the force organization in the direction of "refined, compact, and strong".
General Phan Van Giang noted that the establishment of Corps 34 on the basis of merging Corps 4 with Corps 3 needs to be implemented closely, scientifically, and seriously; grasp the ideological situation of the troops; review and consolidate organizations; do a good job of policy work..., thereby creating high consensus, promoting strength, and ensuring stability and development of all organizations.
