On January 30, the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Science and Technology held a conference to summarize the implementation of the Coordination Program for the period 2021 - 2025, orientations and key tasks for the period 2026 - 2030.
In the period 2021 - 2025, the Program for coordinating science and technology (S&T) activities between the two Ministries has been comprehensively and unifiedly implemented; The connection in building and implementing S&T tasks at the national and Ministry of National Defense levels is increasingly close, meeting well the goals and task requirements set out.
Notably, many key S&T programs and projects have been implemented synchronously and actively. Some programs and projects have been completed and summarized.
Through the implementation of programs, projects, schemes, topics and S&T tasks, units in the Army have mastered design, base technology, core technology to manufacture many types of high-tech weapons as well as supplies for repair and assurance of weapons and technical equipment of military and armed services.
Thousands of articles and scientific works have been published in domestic and international scientific journals and conferences; Hundreds of PhDs and masters have been trained; Hundreds of inventions and useful solutions have been registered and patented.
At the conference, leaders of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Science and Technology highly appreciated the results of cooperation between the two Ministries; exchanged and agreed on contents and measures for coordination to continue innovating and improving the efficiency of the S&T activity plan of the Ministry of National Defense.
Thereby, contributing to building a regular and modern Army, improving combat readiness; At the same time, strengthening the national S&T level and potential, and developing the national defense industry in a dual-use and modern direction.
In the coming time, the two Ministries will focus on coordinating research, supplementing and completing the system of legal documents on S&T and innovation. These include specific policies and regulations for research and development of strategic technology in the fields of military, defense and strategically significant weapons and technical equipment products.
At the same time, build strong policies and solutions to train and attract high-quality human resources at home and abroad, meeting the requirements of research and development of weapons and strategic technical equipment; Report to the Government to promulgate a list of strategic technologies and strategic technology products in the military and defense fields.
