According to assessments at the conference, recently, the situation of unmanned aerial vehicles operating illegally in the no-fly zone of Da Nang airport has tended to increase and become complicated.
Some incidents have directly affected flight operations, forcing air traffic control forces to change plans, adjust flight paths, and extend landing waiting times.
This increases pressure on ensuring aviation security and safety, potentially affecting military and defense activities in the area.
Faced with this reality, delegates focused on discussing and analyzing the causes, and at the same time proposed many synchronous and feasible solutions.
The content of the exchange emphasized the requirement to strengthen coordination between forces in detecting, notifying and handling violations; improving the effectiveness of area management, especially key areas around the airport.
The opinions also mentioned the completion of the inter-sectoral coordination mechanism, ensuring unity in command and operation when situations occur.
Concluding the working session, Major General Phan Dai Nghia acknowledged the spirit of responsibility and proactiveness of agencies and units in coordinating to handle issues related to the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles.
In the coming time, functional agencies are required to continue to study and strictly grasp the regulations of superiors; proactively build and improve coordination regulations and specific handling procedures for each arising situation, ensuring tightness, consistency and timeliness.
Along with that, it is necessary to establish and maintain effective hotlines between forces to promptly exchange information, quickly handle violations; strengthen patrols and inspections, firmly grasp the area, and detect early abnormal signs.
The management of the purchase and sale and use of unmanned aerial vehicles must be carried out in accordance with the law, with close coordination between functional agencies and local authorities.
Major General Phan Dai Nghia also emphasized the requirement to promote propaganda and raise awareness for people and tourists about regulations on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles; clarify the risks and negative impacts on aviation security and safety and national defense tasks if used illegally.
