On December 10, Quang Binh Provincial Police announced that they had just held a ceremony to announce the decisions of the Minister of Public Security and the Director of the Provincial Police on the arrangement and consolidation of commune and town police and the organization of the district-level police investigation agency in the province.
For Minh Hoa district, establish Tan Thanh Commune Police (on the basis of Hoa Phuc, Hoa Tien and Hoa Thanh Commune Police); Bo Trach district establish Ha My Commune Police (on the basis of Ha Trach and My Trach Commune Police) and Ly Nam Commune Police (on the basis of Nam Trach and Ly Trach Commune Police); for Quang Trach district, establish Phu Canh Commune Police (on the basis of Phu Hoa and Canh Hoa Commune Police); for Quang Ninh district, Luong Ninh Commune Police merge into Quan Hau Town Police.
After the reorganization, the whole province reduced from 151 police units at commune, ward and town level to 145 police units at commune, ward and town level.
After implementing the decision of the Minister of Public Security on the arrangement and consolidation of commune and town police and the organization of the district-level police investigation agency, 9 administrative units were reduced; correspondingly, 6 party organizations and party committees were reduced. At least 18 team-level command structures and commune-level police were reduced.
