On October 25, 2024, the National Assembly continued the 5th working day of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly at the National Assembly House, Hanoi, chaired by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.
From 8-11am, under the direction of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai, the National Assembly listened to Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Economic Committee of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh present a Report explaining, accepting and revising the draft Law on Urban and Rural Planning.
Afterwards, the National Assembly discussed in the hall a number of contents with different opinions of the draft Law on Urban and Rural Planning.
From 11am, the National Assembly will hold a separate meeting on personnel work under its authority.
On the same afternoon, the National Assembly held a separate meeting to continue personnel work under its authority. The National Assembly voted to pass Resolution No. 157/2024/QH15 dated October 25, 2024 on the dismissal of Mr. Bui Van Cuong from the position of Secretary General of the National Assembly, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the termination of his duties as a deputy of the 15th National Assembly.
Mr. Bui Van Cuong ceased to hold the positions of Secretary General of the National Assembly, member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly; ceased to perform the duties of a deputy of the 15th National Assembly; retired according to his personal wishes and enjoyed the regime and policies according to current regulations.
