Exhibition of the National Assembly Newspaper with the First General Election

President Luong Cuong and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and delegates visited the thematic exhibition "National Assembly Newspaper".

This morning (October 23), at the National Assembly House, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong and Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended the thematic exhibition "National Assembly Daily".

This event is part of a series of activities towards the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) and to serve the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

Also visiting the exhibition were Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien and Party Central Committee members: Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh; XV National Assembly delegates attending the 8th Session...

At the exhibition, President Luong Cuong, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and National Assembly delegates listened to an introduction to the history of the National Assembly Newspaper - a newspaper that focused on reporting on the purpose and significance of the first General Election on January 6, 1946; and admired 15 issues of the National Assembly Newspaper.

The first general election to elect the National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on January 6, 1946, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, was a major historical event, opening the process of building a new democratic regime in our country.

The success of the General Election was the result of the solidarity, heroic struggle and sacrifice of all Vietnamese people and the significant contribution of the revolutionary press in propaganda and mass mobilization work, including the National Assembly Newspaper.

Towards the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly and to serve the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly, the National Assembly Office organized a thematic exhibition "National Assembly Newspaper" with the first General Election (January 6, 1946), helping delegates and viewers to better understand the atmosphere of preparation and developments of the first General Election.

The exhibition consists of 2 parts: Part I - National Assembly Newspaper with the first General Election (January 6, 1946); Part II - Displaying the original collection of 15 issues of National Assembly Newspaper.
