On the morning of June 24, National Assembly deputies voted to amend and supplement the 9th Session agenda of the 15th National Assembly with the majority of deputies participating in the vote in favor.
Presenting the report on adjusting and supplementing the session agenda, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Tung said that the National Assembly Standing Committee proposed to add 2 contents to the Government to submit to the National Assembly for consideration and resolution in the Resolution of the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
The first content is that visa exemption for foreigners is a special subject requiring preferential entry into Vietnam (according to the Government's Submission No. 21/TTr-CP dated June 15, 2025).
Second content, the handling of debt collection sources for policy credit programs granted by the state budget has expired at the Social Policy Bank (according to Submission No. 511/TTr-CP dated June 12, 2025 of the Government).
Do not arrange the National Assembly to pass the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Planning at the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly for agencies to continue researching, reviewing, and amending the overall Law on Planning (according to the Government's Submission No. 569/TTr-CP dated June 23, 2025);
Adjust the time for the National Assembly to consider and decide on the content of the arrangement of payment sources for debts under the responsibility of the Government at the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (SBIC) so that the agencies can complete according to the conclusions of the competent authority.
At the same time, arrange the time to carry out some specific contents of personnel work to ensure more reasonableness.
Accordingly, the National Assembly Standing Committee plans to adjust the implementation time for a number of other related contents accordingly.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh said that because the local government is currently being reorganized, the competent authority decided to postpone it to comprehensively revise the Planning Law. However, some urgent issues related to planning will be recorded in the General Resolution of the 9th Session for immediate resolution.
With 2 additional contents, the Government has submitted a previous document and it has been discussed by many delegates in the discussion session on socio-economics, so it can be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration.
