Regulations on salary and allowances for peacekeeping forces

Forces participating in peacekeeping activities are entitled to salary and allowances according to the provisions of Vietnamese law and the United Nations.

On the afternoon of June 26, with 445/445 delegates participating in the vote, the National Assembly passed the Law on Participating in United Nations peacekeeping forces (UN peacekeeping forces).

Article 26 of the law stipulates the regime and policies. Accordingly, Vietnamese forces participating in peacekeeping activities in the Vietnam Fatherland Front during their time on duty abroad are entitled to salary, allowances and other preferential regimes and policies according to the provisions of Vietnamese law and the provisions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

During the training, coaching and fostering period, when completing their return home tasks, they will enjoy preferential regimes and policies according to Government regulations.

During the time participating in the Vietnam Fatherland Front's peacekeeping force, individuals and units with achievements in performing tasks will be rewarded according to the provisions of Vietnamese law and the provisions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Individuals who are sick, injured, have an accident or have died while performing their duties participating in the United Nations peacekeeping force shall enjoy the regime and policies according to the provisions of Vietnamese law and the provisions of the United Nations.

Regimes and policies on social insurance and health insurance are implemented in accordance with the provisions of Vietnamese law.

The Law assigns the Government to specify this in detail.

The law stipulates the building of Vietnamese forces to participate in peacekeeping activities of the United Nations to meet modern, professional requirements and in accordance with the standards of the United Nations.

Create conditions, encourage organizations and individuals, encourage and prioritize women to participate in women's peacekeeping activities.

Prioritize the development of human resources, technical equipment and weapons, and professional technical means to meet the conditions for performing tasks of participating in peacekeeping activities in the United Nations.

There are preferential policies and regimes in training, arranging, using, recruiting, and selecting individuals who have completed their tasks to participate in peacekeeping activities in the United Nations.

Article 12 of the law stipulates prohibited acts in participating in the peacekeeping force of the United Nations.

Accordingly, it is forbidden to take advantage of or abuse the participation in the United Nations peacekeeping force to violate the law, infringe upon the interests of the state, and infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals.

Prohibit the purchase of bribes, bribes, enticements, enticements or forced forces participating in the United Nations peacekeeping force to commit illegal acts.

Prohibit discrimination in gender, division, discrimination in ethnicity, race, nationality, belief, religion, qualifications, and culture in participating in the peacekeeping force of the United Nations.

Prohibit the dissemination and dissemination of false images and information, disclosure of state secrets or confidential portfolios of the Federation of Labor.
