Presenting the Draft Law on Judicial Assessment (amended), Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh said that in order to improve the quality of the organization and operation of judicial appraisal, ensure compliance with the Party's guidelines and policies, and consistency in the legal system, it is necessary to amend and supplement the Law on Judicial Assessment.
The draft Law inherits the scope of regulation of the current Law on Judicial Assessment, revised technically to ensure clarity and specificity.
Accordingly, the draft Law stipulates the person for judicial appraisal; organization of judicial appraisal; order and procedures for judicial appraisal; costs for judicial appraisal; regimes and policies in judicial appraisal activities; state management of judicial appraisal; responsibility of the litigation agency in judicial appraisal activities.
Amend and supplement regulations on standards for qualifying for legal knowledge and professional qualifications in criminal appraisal for criminal appraisal.

Clearly stipulate cases of dismissal of judicial examiners, conditions and procedures for recognizing judicial examiners according to cases, organizing judicial examinations according to cases to ensure the team of judicial examiners and judicial examination organizations have the capacity and professional experience in conducting judicial examinations...
Reporting on the review of the draft Law, Chairman of the Law and Justice Committee Hoang Thanh Tung said that the Committee approved the amendment of the Law on Judicial Assessment.
At the same time, it is recommended that the Government continue to review to ensure the implementation of requirements for innovation in thinking in law-making work, implementing the Party's policy on streamlining the apparatus of the political system.
In addition, it is necessary to ensure that this amendment must achieve the goal of fundamentally resolving problems and inadequacies in judicial appraisal activities, effectively serving litigation activities, meeting the requirements of investigation, prosecution, and trial of economic and corruption cases.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh stated that in the past, there have been many directives and requirements for the field of judicial appraisal, related to the settlement of difficulties, especially in some cases and incidents that were slow due to difficult and slow implementation of judicial appraisal.
Therefore, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that it is necessary to continue reviewing and researching to ensure that the implementation of this law amendment meets practical requirements.
