On July 17, Politburo member, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man chaired a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee to give opinions on preparations for the organization of the First National Assembly Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that, implementing the Politburo's policy on accelerating the organization of Party congresses at all levels, the First National Assembly Party Congress will be held in September or October 2025.
Accordingly, the First National Assembly Party Congress took place in the context that our country has just entered a new period of development with increasingly high requirements.
According to the National Assembly Chairman, this is not only an opportunity to look back, objectively and comprehensively evaluate the achievements, limitations, causes, and lessons learned from the previous term, but also plan a vision, strategic goals, development directions, and key tasks for the 2025-2030 term.
At the same time, select and perfect a team of leaders with sufficient qualities, capacity, courage, and intelligence to undertake the tasks assigned by the Party, the National Assembly, and the People.
Therefore, according to the National Assembly Chairman, reviewing the preparation work for the Congress is really necessary and important, and needs to be conducted in a disciplined, regular, basic and strict manner from now until the Congress.
The National Assembly Chairman emphasized a number of key tasks such as directing, operating, building a system of documents to create a legal basis, favorable conditions for organizing the First National Assembly Party Congress in accordance with regulations, progress and quality; personnel work, preparation of Congress documents, propaganda, celebration, logistics, service organization and inspection and supervision.
In addition, the National Assembly Chairman also noted some shortcomings and difficulties in the preparation for the recent Congress, such as large workloads, many tasks being implemented simultaneously in the context of a new organizational apparatus, and instructions from superiors with unsynchronized content;
Some tasks are still being implemented slowly, the quality is not uniform among units; coordination between departments is sometimes not really smooth, some officials are still confused in implementing new tasks.
There is not much time left until the Congress, the National Assembly Chairman suggested that members of the National Assembly Standing Committee carefully evaluate the results of Congress preparation work in each subcommittee and each field;
Point out the advantages, limitations, causes, issues and specific responsibilities; propose solutions to remove obstacles and difficulties in terms of progress, personnel quality, and documents.
The National Assembly Chairman also requested members of the National Assembly Party Committee Standing Committee to clarify specific contents to complete the submissions, personnel projects, list of delegates, draft documents, and documents for the congress.
